How's all this really work?

Eventually I'll write up more about this, but for now, here's the basic details:

• The core software that powers the back end of fubnub is a handful of Perl scripts and classes.
• The front end web site is PHP based and served up via Apache.
• The data store is an MS-SQL database.
• Somehow, it's all running on Microsoft based servers.

You can learn more about the technical challenges and details by following along in Kevin's blog. If you take the time to browse the history out there, you might even find a few example scripts that were the starting point of this thing!
